More photos from the press preview at OMCA yesterday. The display walls are relief cut by a computer-driven router using drawings that Clowes made for the exhibition (seen here.) They remind me of gigantic hand-cut woodblocks for printmaking -- I guess digital technology has its moments... The custom fixtures house sliding and pivoting walls that display the work (allowing viewers to flip through it as they would a comic) and a gigantic cushioned seat to take a load off during your visit. Wow... Kudos to exhibition curator Susan Miller, exhibtion designer Nicholas de Monchaux, René de Guzman and everyone at OMCA.
Opens tomorrow!
